Sunday, July 25, 2010 i thought i can dance
JULY 21, 2010 DANCE COMPETITION my classmate asked me if i can replace their co-dancer who bailed on them. with no hesitation i answered YES. when we got to the studio and my classmate Lai showed the steps i was like "S! what is this thing i got into? i can never dance!" when i heard their remix i was kinda disappointed. why? it wasn't polished. i could've done better myself. luckily we found someone who can teach us some dance steps, and remix for us as well. FIRST DAY -- JERKING. we're jerks. not really:)) it only consumed two eights of the dance but it was the HARDEST step. foot works, no hands, body movements whatsoever. just foot works. plus attitude. boys usually jerk, but we have to. we only have ONE guy dancer (CG) in our group, and we have to pull him out of that part, cause he can't. and to give you an idea of how hard jerking is, watch Justin Bieber's Baby OMV, the "nobody came between us no can ever come above" part contains jerking. try it. it's not as easy as it looks.
SECOND DAY -- more STEPS. we already have the remix, we just have to create more steps. and i never thought CG can't dance that good. he made me look good :)
THIRD and LAST DAY -- PERFORMANCE day. we only have three days to rehearse. last day we were still trying to put up some steps. we're super pressured. we ran out of time and we're already praying. it's the only thing we're good at.
they kinda over applied our make up and made my eyes look smaller. i loved it :) team fushigi yuugi won the dance competition but i never felt bad or disappointed. at least i did something i don't usually do:) JUNK ART as representatives of Team Tekken we had to create something related to Tekken. something robot. we thought Mokujin would work but that would be copying the original character so we decided to modify him.
